From: Jason Passow [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, June 02, 2003 2:08 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I am a moron as far as it comes to programming. How do I pass the variables to the batch file because I have tried with just the what you said below and I only get h) is s because c status="e" as my message. I have tried adding "%p (%h) is %s because %c status="%e"" to the call to the batch file from Salive with no luck. Sorry for being so stupid. This was my original thought but I could not work it out.

Call the script from a batch file with each user on a line
@echo Off c:\perl\bin\perl.exe c:\progra~1\salive\saaim.pl compphd "%p (%h) is %s because %c status="%e"" c:\perl\bin\perl.exe c:\progra~1\salive\saaim.pl guilttripqueen "%p (%h) is %s because %c status="%e""
Pass the parameters to the batch
Same way to use the other Bradshaw IM Invention.

Passow [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] What could I change? I am not clear as to how the variables are passed to the script,

Not currently. You'd need to change the script to handle that. Mark Bradshaw
