Hi, I have this question and possibly feature request.

Basically, I'd like to do some form of scripting on the SNMP response
string or any response string in general. A use of variables would be
nice, if I could assign a response to a variable and use it some where
else with other entries. There are some useful things you can get from
SNMP, such as Device name, location, uptime etc.

The basic things such as device name and location do not need to be
updated regularly and it would be nice to be able to assign "pretty
name"=smtp.deviceName string, for instance. The other thing is that
SNMP device uptime seems to be more precise than SA time since SA was
started, but the time retrieved with SNMP is centiseconds (1/100 second)
and I need to do some calculations to show it in [day-hour-minute]
format.

I don't know if I'm asking too much, maybe I should be looking at
another solution. If you have any ideas, please let me know.

Thanks,
Igor.
