Chong,
SA itself does not
use any port. Only the test does. If you do a telnet-test you need to let pass
the telnet port. If you want to do a PING test, you open the ping ports. For
other test you might need to open RPC port.
Maybe you can
configure your firewall so it passes all trafic from the IP-address of your PC
running SA. You then can do all checks, but offcourse, your SA-computer itself
is not protected anymore. And maybe that's not what you
want.

I would like to know if I would like to monitor the events on another subnet or network that is blocked by a firewall, which port(s) do I need to open on both sides in order to facilitate the checks.
