I think this is related to a bug within SA with the alerts.

Edit the alert, goto the WHEN tab and check the "When host is down.." option.  This will probably checked, uncheck it and try again.  Editing the entry will however put the check mark back (<- that's the bug).

An updated beta will be available shortly...

Not sure whether this is to do with my setup - I'm doing a url check & I have selected the "shouldn't contain" option. But whenever the condition occurs SAlive doesn't seem to alert me.

 

Any ideas - most welcome.
