First of all, I made a silly mistake in my previous e-mail. The 
system I checked the Security Log was system 1 instead of system 2, 
sorry.

Yes, Dirk, I have tried on system 1 and 3 with and without 
username/passwd to find the same failure messages.
Thanking to Lambrecht Pieter's advice, I also made sure using 
back slash in machine\username area.

Next I tried out both SA as a application and a service.
But all those did nothing so far.....
The service was logged on as the same account to NET VIEW,
an administrative account.
