I used the SMTP2POP3 to check the external portion of Groupwise. I had it send a mail to the Groupwise GWIA agent via SMTP and then connect to another ISP account and pick it up via POP3. The only thing it didn't check was whether a mail was going from the Post Office to the GWIA via the MTA and then to the outside world.
You can also use the Countfiles external check that will allow you to check the GWPROB directory for a large amount of files. When the Groupwise GWIA Agent (GroupWise Internet Agent) cannot send a message it stores it in the GWPROB Directory so the more files the bigger the problem. -----Original Message----- From: Michael Shook [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 14 November 2003 14:37 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [SA-list] Groupwise mail checks.... I have a Groupwise mail server that needs checking. BUT... Since it treats internal emails in a separate process from external emails, doing the mail checks from inside my 4 walls only checks the internal portion. Does anyone have experience in how to set up a series of checks that could be created to properly check all 4 parts of the email system? The SA box will be internal to the Groupwise server, but 3rd party email accounts can be set up to forward emails to and from and through. Thanks!!!
