Something that is also important for the alerts, is that the
teams/persons should be defined on both systems. And not just the same
names but they should have the same IDs too. Internaly we don't point
to a person/team by using the name but by using an ID.

There is no option to merge 2 files.
If you want to merge them you will have to edit files manualy. First
thing will be that you need to be sure that they all have a unique UID.
(NOT documented!!) By changing those you could end up messing up
dependencies. Also make sure to have the same groups on both systems.

We have a number of people who are helping to configure checks in SA
against servers that they have responsibility over. This has been
fantastic and is a tribute to the free version of the software that
allows the work to be distributed among different people. I have
several people wanting to submit their checks to me so I can add them to
the main "server".

Is there a best practice document anywhere for merging checks? Do I
only need the settings in the save-file or do I also need registry keys?
I cannot risk corrupting the installation on the main "server" so I want
to handle this in the best manner possible.

If this has been answered on the list before I apologize for restarting
a dead topic.

Regards,

Rob
