I am not sure which part of my comment you are questioning. To clarify we are doing a check without the COM that verifies, in effect, a successful SSL authenticated bind to an LDAP server.
In your first response you said that adding a port selector wasn't all that it would take for the Beta LDAP COM to allow me to achieve the LDAP SSL form of check. You mentioned that LDAP encryption was also required. I was just wondering if the encryption was totally out of scope for the beta LDAP COM or if it would have to be an entirely separate COM for LDAP SSL.
