I am not sure which part of my comment you are questioning. To clarify we
are doing a check without the COM that verifies, in effect, a successful SSL
authenticated bind to an LDAP server.

In your first response you said that adding a port selector wasn't all that
it would take for the Beta LDAP COM to allow me to achieve the LDAP SSL form
of check. You mentioned that LDAP encryption was also required. I was just
wondering if the encryption was totally out of scope for the beta LDAP COM
or if it would have to be an entirely separate COM for LDAP SSL. This is
more a curiosity than a request though, as we have found a workaround for
the component of LDAP checks we needed to perform.

Are you talking about LDAP with SSL?

We found another way method to verify the LDAP data we needed, so this COM
is not a critical component for us. I assume adding LDAP encryption is
pretty unlikely....but appreciate the information anyway!

Thanks,
Holly

Even if we would allow a change of the port, you couldn't still do an LDAPS
(LDAP with SSL) check. The difference between LDAP and LDAP SSL is not just
the port but also the LDAP encryption.

I have a question about the beta LDAP COM. Would it be possible to add a
Port selection/specification into the configuration? I tried the COM out as
is, but our LDAP servers only allow authenticated binds over SSL.

Thanks,
Holly Raiskin
