Also if you connect to it via TELNET
        telnet <host> 21
What do you get as return and how long does it take to get this?

I've got an FTP service check running which always reports, "Connection
possible, but received data not correct."  The FTP server is running, I
can log into it - but SA keeps returning this message, any ideas?
