Found the reason of the hanging, to yet the
solution.
You have entry called
markvi and do a diskspace check of \\markvi\c$
You use that as template and within the file with "new"
hostnames the first one is
markvi,markvi
This means that you're trying to create a double
entry. As such not a real problem BUT what we do is we do a "simple"
string replace were we replace the old hostname (markvi in the example) with the
new hostname (again markvi in the example) and this within the whole entries
configuration. And the routine is doing this "as long as it can find the
old hostname within the string"...and since you're replacing with identical
string it's hanging in that.

The import file is called printsvr.txt Salive_clackamas2.txt is the host files. I was trying to use the "markv\c$" drive space check above 10% as the template.

can you send me the hostfile and tell me what entry you use as template? Also send me the file you use for the import.
Dirk.

I am running Enterprise Version 4.1.1591 and am having troubles running the "Import Hosts" option. It works fine until I use a template entry that is checking disk space. Any ideas?
