Dirk,
I'm looking to monitor our PABX and was thinking about monitoring the main line. i.e run a check every 30 minutes and see if the PABX answers!
There may of course be better ways to monitor a PABX, but I'm not aware of them. All help gratefully accepted!

And what do you want to monitor on the phone line?
Is this phone line connected to a modem or a dial-up server?
