Subject: Re: [SA-list] url checks???

I have cable internet access. What would be a good way to use salive to
see if the cable is down??? I was thinking doing some pings to well
known sites. Maybe have a few (5 or 6) that each depend on each other??
What way if the first site is busy or down then check the second one, if
it's down got to 3 and so on till the end. If they all are down then you
have a good idea that the cable is out??? Does someone have a differet
way to check this?? I'm looking for some idea's.

Thanks
Regards,
