Got it. Found it in the archives. July 29, 2003 at 9:47 by Kevin Kruithof.
Boxes don't really look like check boxes. I was just highlighting the entry.

I can't seem to make this work correctly. Seems simple enough but I get a
"nothing to do, no items selected" when I click import. I simplified the
host file to just include three hostnames on consecutive lines to eliminate
any problems.

I am using version 4.1.1626

Any thoughts

Sure that can be done.
First of all make the template entries.
Then create a textfile with the following structure:
        hostname, prettyname
        hostname, prettyname
        hostname, prettyname
        ...
        hostname, prettyname

(if you don't want to have different hostnames then just have one hostname
per line).

Select IMPORT from the EDIT menu. Select the just created textfile, select
comma as delimiter (or none if you didn't include a prettyname), select the
template entries, and click import.

Subject: [SA-list] Ability to add multiple Servers at one time

Does ServersAlive have the ability to add say 200 servers at one time based
on a particular template. I want to incorporate all of our servers with
some basic check i.e. Ping, Diskspace, Event check, etc... Since we have
about 200 servers, this would be about 600+ manual entries. I have already
created templates based on certain checks I have created for other systems.
Is there a way I can use a particular template to generate these checks?
Thanks for your help. My carpal tunnel would appreciate it.
