Folks, Does anybody have an experience/recommendations on the following?
When running SA as a service, if you do not supply specific credentials on an individual check, then Servers Alive will perform the check using the credentials of the service. Is it better (meaning more reliable) to have checks use the credentials of the service versus supplying credentials on individual checks? (Assuming that the service's credentials are sufficient for all the checks.) I don't need to do both do I? I am getting authentication errors in my log (see below) but the checks are working.(!) SA v4.1.1609 is running as a service on windows server 2003. *****From debug log***** Monday, January 31, 2005 11:42:55 AM ASH05 Monday, January 31, 2005 11:42:55 AM ASH05 OK with a successrate of 100% and an average roundtriptime of 0 ms Monday, January 31, 2005 11:42:56 AM GetServiceStatus BackupExecAgentAccelerator: Running Monday, January 31, 2005 11:42:56 AM NTService check of BackupExecAgentAccelerator on 192.168.110.15 OK Monday, January 31, 2005 11:42:56 AM ERR: connect to host failed: 1326(Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.)
