it will save if there was a change in the configuration...not sure if it will see that change done by SA itsefl as a real change...will check...

Should it auto save if you restart the service?  I have mine set-up to auto--save but does that only work for the application mode.

I have a question about the external Eventlog check (Com based)

If i restart SA it will generated a failure again due a old eventlog entry. It
is possible to send a alert if a new log-entry is found. Even if SA is
restarted? It seems that it does not save the time from the last failure
log-entry to disk.
