Can you monitor the
Windows event log for a condition and then alert on the condition every time the
event occurs rather than just check for the event in the whole of the log file.
Can you also pull the line from the log file and forward as an SNMP
trap.
What we want to do
is look for certain messages in the event log and raise traps in our SNMP
NMS and then clear the trap when another mesaage in the event log occurs.
