Per Dirk, SA cannot start in Telephony Service is not started. I was unable to start the Telephony service- also hung in starting mode. I restored this PC via an image to an earlier date and still had the same symptoms. Then I ran received another email via a different support list regarding APC Powerchute versions causing hanging on system startup. As this PC also runs the APC Powerchute admin console, I started in safe mode, stopped the APC service and restarted the PC. Now the Telephony service starts as does Servers Alive. This problem will only show up on a restart so beware!!!!!!!!!!!! Bulletin details regarding APC Powerchute can be found here--- If you are still using any version of PowerChute Business Edition 6.x, you may experience various computer issues. The most common symptom is that servers are hanging or booting slowly. You can read the full notice here. http://nam-en.apc.com/cgi-bin/nam_en.cfg/php/enduser/olh_adp.php?ISOCountryC ode=us&p_faqid=7202&p_olh=1 The problem is with a SUN Java component used in PowerChute. Hope this helps someone :) Gerry ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----- View our inventory - schedule a service appointment or Find out more about us at http://www.sesslerford.com ------------------------- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by Declude Virus] To unsubscribe from a list, send a mail message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] With the following in the body of the message: unsubscribe SAlive ------------------------- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by Declude Virus] To unsubscribe from a list, send a mail message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] With the following in the body of the message: unsubscribe SAlive
