It might do it as long as there are no other warnings or errors for that check cycle. It seems to me if something is going wrong you may miss errors.

That gives me a down on a clean log, doesn't it? As well as with a log

Maybe a combination of checks, with dependencies? If check A shows some
kind of Error or Warning message, then check B looks for the event id to be
ignored, and check C looks for all other event id's... but I'd need a way
to determine that B found the event and C didn't...

I got it! Check A looks for ANY error or warning. A down condition in
check A allows check B to run, looking for the event id to be ignored. If
B doesn't find the id it allows C to run, looking for any others... If
check B finds the ID then check C doesn't run...

That seems like it might do it...

Subject: [SA-list] Feature request? Or add-on change?

I would like to modify the Eventlog checks... My issue is that I am
looking for any warning or error in the logs, EXCEPT specific ones... So
I'd like a check box or something that is roughly the equivalent of the
"Invert Status" box...

So when I set up a check for the Application Event log, I can input an
error id of 4409 and SA will alert on any errors or warnings (as selected)
that are NOT equal to error id 4409.

Or can someone think of a way to do this without a mod?

Thanks!
Greg
