If you do a dump of the rrd database file, does it contain data (different from 0)?

Interestingly I have been having the same problems. My hour*.gif files are being updated with each check cycle, however no data is presented on the graphs. I have run the sa_Graph_RRD.bat file and get the following for each entry in the database:

C:\SARRDTool\db>C:\SARRDTool\rrdtool.exe graph  hour_392.gif -s -3600  --title="
Server Description" DEF:sa_392=392:roundtrip:MAX LINE1:sa_392#0000FF:"Resp
onse Time"
480x172

This seems to suggest it is updating the gifs, but no lines are ever shown on the graphs. I was wondering if it was a problem with the scale on the graphs being 0.0 to 1.0, but that should still show something (all servers are on a LAN so response times should be relatively low).

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Richard.

I think it works now.  I had an entry in the registry that pointed the hourly graphs to the wrong location.

That's an UPDATE bat file, I asked for the bat file that creates the graphs.

The update bat file can NOT be executed a 2nd time.

Yes,

I get the message below.  Could this have something to do with placing a command in the registry for rrd to use local time?

Larry

If you manualy execute the bat file to create the graphs, does it give an error then?

Dirk.

RRD no longer graphs simple ping response times.  I think but am not sure if this is related to the time stamp.  Is there a way to reset rrd?  I have deleted my databases and recreated a number of times with no luck.  Any suggestion or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
