It's a couple of files that would have to be added together to get the
size, but yes, that could probably work.  I was hoping I could do it in
"native" SA, but if MS doesn't include a counter for SA to query, I am
out of luck.

Isn't that "just" file?
Then you can use the filesize monitor (free external com check available
from http://www.woodstone.nu/salive/addons.asp)
