Dear list, Purchasing a good monitoring solution is an investment. You want it to run efficiently and smoothly for a long time, keeping it up-to-date is essential. Without regular updates your monitoring solution won't operate at its optimum performance level.
Based upon your feedback we took the challenge to make Servers Alive version 5.1 with a lot of new and exciting features. The SNMPv3 support that was added in v5 was extended to comply full with RFC3414 meaning that we can now have both privacy and authentication. The trap receiver is now also able to generate alerts (enterprise feature). Two new alerting type were added, being XMPP (like Jabber or Google Talk) and SMS via an GSM modem (AT+C protocol). In the checking part we added SSL certificate checking (HTTP/HTTPS check option). For redundant network the "route" option will surely help a lot (enterprise feature) . A long list of additional HTML tags were added and the RRDTools graphing was largely extended. And of course 'some' bug fixes. The full list of changes can be found on http://www.woodstone.nu/salive/v51.asp Don't let your monitoring solution become obsolete, download Servers Alive v5.1 today. (http://www.woodstone.nu/salive/download.asp) Servers Alive v5.1 uses the same registration code as Servers Alive v5. If you're still running are version prior to Servers Alive v5 we would like to urge you to upgrade to the most recent version. An upgrade can be purchased via http://www.woodstone.nu/salive/purchase.asp Sincerely yours, Dirk Bulinckx President, bvba Woodstone
