I can think of an example: Since we multihome servers a dependency Something like
Server X depends on Switch A or Switch B being up. Or even for our network infrastructure where a switch may be connected to multiple switches for redundancy. Switch Y depends on Switch A or Switch B It would also be handy if dependencies worked between groups (or was this already discussed?) That way I could have a group for the servers and a group for the switches but the servers could depend on the switches! -----Original Message----- From: Dirk Bulinckx [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, February 27, 2006 10:35 AM To: Servers Alive Discussion List Subject: [SA-list] RE: [SA-list] Enhancement Requests Can you give an example on what you exactly mean? Now it is "only" possible to set one dependency for a check. Is it planed to have an option to use more than one dependency for a single check? And those are also visible within the tree. That way the tree would stay logical and all below a down will not trigger extra responses / alerts while stil maintaining an good overview of the servers/services that belong together. I remember it being discussed before, but maybe it's possible for V6? Regards and it's still a killer app :-) Hein --- Antivirus: Outbound message clean.
