We have discovered that the external COM "File Properties" check can be configured and pointed at a directory that does not exist. As long as the disk or share itself is accessible, the check will always return a status of "OK" even if the folder structure below the root does not exist. For example: You create a check to send an alert if a file greater than 10MB exists in the "C:\Logs" folder, but actually have the folder structure configured as "C:\Log", the alert will always return an "OK" condition, regardless of the fact that the "Logs" folder does not exist. Shouldn't the check send a failure alert if the folder structure you are checking for does not exist? It would be very easy to transpose a letter while setting one of these checks, copy it to check the same (wrong) path on many servers,  and think everything is OK based on the check response, even if its not.
