I had a couple a while ago that worked pretty well. Unfortunately I
don’t have a sample to send at the moment.

I found it most helpful to use ldifde from the command line on the computer
running Servers Alive to test my queries and make adjustments to my syntax.
Also, authentication can be an issue depending on how your LDPA server is
configured. Make sure you are testing from the same account that will be
running the actual query.

Has anyone worked up a check in SA to check LDAP on a server with a defined
query looking for a specific response?

Thanks,

If you use auto-responders (like out-of-the-office messages), then make sure
that they are not send to the list nor to the individual members of the list
that send a message. Doing this will get you removed from the list.
