My guess is (based on the fact that you do have communication between the SA
system and the SMPP system, and the error message) is that the recipients
adddress is a problem. I would suggest to verify this with your SMPP provider.

I did some capture using MS Netmon 3.0 and seems the two systems are
communicating each other but I'm not familiar with Netmon and there's too much
garbage, at least for me ;)

Actually don't have any but I can have a look on it ... Just curious because the
older version worked fine ...

If you have a sniffer (netmon-sniffer-ethereal-...), can you then see the
traffic is going to the smpp gateway?

Hi Dirk,

I've just upgraded our box from SA 5.1.1963 to the official 6 (2103) version
(tried the latest beta too) and the SMPP alerts stopped working.
The setup is the same, there's no change whatsoever. I've consulted the problem
with our PBX admin and everything is fine. So after enabling maximum logging
I've got this err:

ERR SMPP send message: SMPP protocol error (invalid desination address).( 360)

The destination address, assume it's PBX IP address, is 100% valid.

Could you please look at it as it is a major problem for us and I have to keep
running the old SA.

Thank you

Petr
