Did you change the registry setting as described on the beta page (for build 2149)?
Dirk Bulinckx. From: Servers Alive Discussion List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Richard Temple Sent: Wednesday, August 29, 2007 10:56 AM To: Servers Alive Discussion List Subject: [SA-list] 6.1.2162 - Hang Since upgrading, my Servers Alive install seems to stop working. So far it's done it three times (6pm yesterday, and twice this morning). I'm running SA on Windows XP, also installed and running on this PC is Kiwi Cattools and MRTG. When it stops, the serversalive.exe process uses up 100% CPU. Bottom right hand corner shows the last check that was run, if I click Stop then that disappears but serversalive.exe is still using 100% CPU. If I right click the system tray icon and click close, the GUI disappears but serversalive.exe is still using 100%. At the moment, it always seems to hang on ping checks. Below are the last few lines of the log. It appeared to hang on the ASP-CSG-01 check, with me killing of SA at 9:49:32. 29/08/2007/09:47:01 SA Westminster EPS Test 29/08/2007/09:47:01 SA PING DEBUG: thpingstart (just before actual ping) for UID= 709 pingID= 278 TR 29/08/2007/09:47:01 SA PING DEBUG: thpingstart (just before after ping) for UID= 709 pingID= 278 29/08/2007/09:47:01 SA PING DEBUG: event start for ID= 0 pingID= 278 29/08/2007/09:47:01 SA Westminster EPS Test OK with a successrate of 100% and an average roundtriptime of 1ms 29/08/2007/09:47:01 SA PING DEBUG: REMOVE for ID= 0 pingID= 278 29/08/2007/09:47:01 SA PING DEBUG: REMOVED for ID= 0 pingID= 278 29/08/2007/09:47:01 SA ASP-CSG-01 29/08/2007/09:47:01 SA PING DEBUG: thpingstart (just before actual ping) for UID= 205 pingID= 0 FA 29/08/2007/09:47:01 SA PING DEBUG: thpingstart (just before after ping) for UID= 205 pingID= 0 29/08/2007/09:47:01 SA URL check (http://www.library.lincoln.ac.uk/ipac20/ipac.jsp?profile=ln (http://www.library.lincoln.ac.uk/ipac20/ipac.jsp?profile=ln)) gave 200 OK (660) 29/08/2007/09:47:01 SA URL check ( http://www.library.lincoln.ac.uk/ipac20/ipac.jsp?profile=ln (http://www.library.lincoln.ac.uk/ipac20/ipac.jsp?profile=ln)) : <html><head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> <META HTTP-EQUIV="Expires" CONTENT="0"><title>Horizon Inform (660) 29/08/2007/09:47:01 SA URL check contains string: My List(CON-7) (660) 29/08/2007/09:47:01 SA URL took 829 ms(660) 29/08/2007/09:49:32 SA Service not running 29/08/2007/09:49:32 SMTP threaded SMTP::FinalRelease 29/08/2007/09:49:32 SA UNLOAD 29/08/2007/09:49:58 SMTP threaded SMTP::FinalConstruct -- Richard To unsubscribe send a message with UNSUBSCRIBE as subject to salive@woodstone.nu If you use auto-responders (like out-of-the-office messages), then make sure that they are not send to the list nor to the individual members of the list that send a message.
