The 11018 errors are "normal" errros.

The ~of … is a "bug" somehow….

If you have that error and you run the debugviewer
(http://Beta.woodstone.nu/soft/temp/debugview.zip
(http://Beta.woodstone.nu/soft/temp/debugview.zip)) next to SA what does it
show as errors?

What other checktypes do you have in your Servers Alive entries file?

Subject: [SA-list] 4am ping failure

Dirk,

I upgraded to 6.1.2267 a couple of days ago without issue. All checks worked
until this morning. Failed checks are all ping (which have dependences under
them) and some COM checks

In the logs:

Wednesday, November 05, 2008 2:56:43 AM Av-CFQK Ping

Wednesday, November 05, 2008 2:56:43 AM PingStart ERROR: Method '~' of object
'~' failed ( 0) - 154- 94

Then later:

Wednesday, November 05, 2008 2:56:49 AM Ping Zinkwazi

Wednesday, November 05, 2008 2:56:49 AM ERR PING status: 11018

Wednesday, November 05, 2008 2:56:49 AM ERR PING status: 11018

Wednesday, November 05, 2008 2:56:49 AM ERR PING status: 11018

Wednesday, November 05, 2008 2:56:49 AM ERR PING status: 11018

Wednesday, November 05, 2008 2:56:49 AM ERR PING status: 11018

And:

Wednesday, November 05, 2008 2:59:45 AM External COM check started
(W00000006,186,-1)

Wednesday, November 05, 2008 2:59:45 AM ERR: COM Check problem (W00000006,186,
260):Method '~' of object '~' failed

This host server has been a little buggy with older versions of SA so I have
been meaning to do a fresh install on different hardware. SA running as a
service on win2k3 srv.

Thanks
Barry
