I did try to install a fresh copy of SA on a 2008 R2 x64 bit server.. the
thing I ran into was having the program launch with
“Administrative” permissions, otherwise it couldn’t perform
the actions it does to check services, it also didn’t seem to operate
normally. So I went back to running it on good ol WinXP 32bit. ;)

Thank you,

Do know that we did not test Servers Alive v6.x on Win2008. And we do not plan
to do it either

We already know from some reactions we received that it doesn't run correctly
as a service.

The next major release (no eta on it) should be a Win2008 compatible version of
SA.

Anyone tried migrating to from 2003 to 2008 server? Any issues – trying
to avoid a complete rebuild of my host checks.

Thanks
Barry
