If you do CTRL-P from within the mainscreen you will get the protocol builder. This allows you to create new TCP/UDP/DNS/RADIUS checktype and/or to edit the existing ones. SO you can reconfigure the default DNS check in such way that it queries for www.somethingelse.com instead of www.woodstone.nu

I've actually noticed this happening a lot recently and it took me a while to figure out what was going on. After several middle-of-the-night alerts that my dns was down I discovered that while it couldn't resolve www.woodstone.nu it would quite happily resolve everything else I tried. So I decided to change my dns check entries to simple port connection tests and get some sleep. Is it possible to change the dns test to allow for a user specified query? thanks lisa To unsubscribe send a message with UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line to salive@woodstone.nu If you use auto-responders (like out-of-the-office messages), make sure that they are not sent to the list nor to individual members.
