Does anybody actually know, for certain, exactly what day the Sam's tenth anniversary actually is? All we seem to have got so far is "sometime around November"[1]
And has anybody booked out a hall on the nearest Saturday? I'll be nearer Quedgely that Horwich at the time, BTW. I think it would be really great if we could contact just about every major Sam name, past and present, and invite them to come along. We could hire a pro photographer and get a *real* group photo, for once. We could have Retro-computing TV researchers. And computer magazine journalists? We ought to think up as many people as possible to bring to the event, even if they've had no real contact with Sam in the recent years.... Everyone should be made to wear name badges, we may never have seen some of their faces...! Presumably someone still has enough old addresses to contact most of the really early famous people? This list is just off the top of my head, in no particular order and with no reference for spellings! (and it doesn't include people already subscribed to the list... you all already know about Sam's birthday!): Alan Miles Bruce Gordon Steve Nutting Steve Taylor David Gommeren Balor Knight Matt Round Neil Holmes Stuart Leonardi ESI's Matt Colin Jordan Martin Bell Andy Monk Craig Turberfield Rob Holman Sean Conrad Nigel Kettlewell Graham Burtenshaw Andrew Fish Phillip Symons Derek Marriott Howard Price Dale Thatcher Neil Maclean Nick Roberts Jon Pillar/Nash Who else? Andrew [1] Malcolm, you said your Sam had already had its tenth birthday last year. Are you absolutely sure? Unless it was a pre-release model, then I'm convinced you've got your dates wrong. -- | Andrew Collier | email [EMAIL PROTECTED] | Talk sense to a | Part 2 NatSci | http://carou.sel.cam.ac.uk/ | fool and he +----------------+-----------------------------+ calls you foolish | Selwyn College Student Computer Support Team | -- Euripides
