Thanks for the info Thomas.

I found one .pwl file and renamed the .pwl to .ppp

That worked so now I will delete the file.

One more problem, every time I first start up windows and then go for
Outlook Express, I get a box that states  "WNetGetUser returned"
I can't get the dial up box until I click OK on this.
Opening Outlook Express after that is OK. It only happens after Windows is
first started.

What is it. It happens on a friends machine as well..
