Colin, I knew it was the ASIC chip that blew in my Sam as I had to get a replacement one before some years ago.I then made the mistake of sending of to Uncle Bob for a backup one but never got the chip or seen my money again. I never did find out what happened to him ,the hardware he had and John Wase who used to write in Format every month. I have just downloaded Sim Coupe so I hope to relive past days again Thanks all for your help. john adams
