Stefan, yes.

That's got it. These load fine, thank you. Does this mean I should have been using just the prescribed data disks to save all along? In which case I can confirm you can use any disks just as long as you have booted with MasterDOS...?

PS Another late night post - dunno what's wrong with me these days!

Do these load correctly? If so then your saved files may have an issue.

Hi everyone

Haylp! Has anyone had experience of using Protracker with SimCoupe here?
I'm trying to make some sweet music (not with ETracker) and finding the

Hi Howard,

I've used ProTracker fairly extensively in Sim Coupe without problems.

I haven't needed to boot MasterDOS first or anything like that. I just
boot the ProTracker disk, let it load to the menu screen, then switch disk
for the files I want to load. In the menu select Disk Op (or ctrl-shift-D)
and it should show a directory listing, then double-tap space on one of the
files and it should load it.
What exactly does is it doing, or not doing, when it fails to load one of
your files?
Andrew

Thanks both,

That's odd. That's pretty much exactly what I was doing. I've managed to
get around it but only by booting to MasterDOS first, then booting
Protracker, then 'inserting' a new SimCoupe disk (ie open from file).

For me there were no errors when I was booting directly from the disk, and
no errors when loading the file. However when loaded, no samples, ornaments
or song data would display. Initially I thought I must not be saving
correctly, but testing some old converted disks ended up with the same
problem. I also redownloaded a fresh copy from World of SAM in case I'd
managed to save to the original app image. But nothing...

Intriguing.

Howard
