Authorities arrest Iraqi spy KUNA (Kuwait News Agency) February 22, 2002 KUWAIT -- The interior ministry said in a statement that the accused, Zuhair Faqira Mohammad Nader, was born in Baghdad in 1943 and has been living in Kuwait since 1980 with valid residency papers.
Nader works as an officer at the Iraqi defense ministry and has held contacts and meetings with Iraqi intelligence officers in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the statement said, adding that he had confessed to conducting the contacts with the Iraqi officers and supplied them with military and security information. The authorities have found in his house military fatigues, an identity card identifying him as an officer of the Iraqi defense ministry in addition to various currencies.
