That's why I use stat() now again. default_vfs_ops.stat() ist working too, when you use -D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 for compiling (at least it works for me). I had plenty of strange crashes before, none after. ...Juergen
