I'm not familiar with SAMFS, but I worked on a similar project for NetBSD. The problem SAMBA would have with what we did for NetBSD was that we made it so that userland processes couldn't notice that a file was being migrated in from tape, so Samba wouldn't have a way to tell. :-| Take care, Bill
