As explained in the SAMBA-VMS Frequently asked questions that is available with the SAMBA 2.0.6 distribution, the message is to be ignored. The SAMBA 2.0.6 distribution is available on the OpenVMS Freeware 5.0 CD-ROM set. The OpenVMS Freeware CD-ROM contents are available from a link at http://www.openvms.compaq.com/ and other OpenVMS software download locations. A newer compilation of frequently asked questions should be easily found by using http://www.google.com as it was posted on comp.os.vms and encompasserve.org > Also I read that interfaces parameter can be used to define netmask, > broadcast address, and IP address, how can I configure broadcast > address using interface parameter? The documentation for SMB.CONF is available on a link from your local SAMBA mirror. This can be found from http://www.samba.org. A copy should also have been with the SAMBA distribution. Most of the parameters are still the same. Samba for OpenVMS before 2.0.6 will ignore parameters for unimplemented functions. Samba 2.0.6 for OpenVMS will follow all options. Do not enable OLE-LOCKING, as it will cause SAMBA for OpenVMS to try to create a file as large as your disk drive. -John [EMAIL PROTECTED] Personal Opinion Only
