I think I could eventually reproduce the problem, but only with ODS-5 disks. I have no problem with ODS-2. Could you confirm that this is your case?
If it is, I'll work on this and fix it as soon as I can.

Sorry, I'm only running ODS-2, not ODS-5. I have no current plans to go to ODS-5.
