Then don't use LPQ.  LPQ is a *hack*, its not a protocol, its effectivly
'rsh printer lpq' a lot of the time.

Feel like adding your particular quirk to samba?  The code is in 
printing/lpw_parse.c if you are game ;-)

If you really want a clean solution, look at somthig like CUPS, which has
a proper, defined interface.
