Fellow samba users,

I have an interesting issue. I have a samba share with the directory
residing on the linux box in which some files open as read only. I changed
the files permissions of 777 just to trouble shoot the issue to no avail. I
tried chattr -i to no avail. I can open up the file, save it with a
different name and it works fine. I am stumped, has anyone ran across this
before? Any and all help is appreciated.

Setup:
Red Hat 7.2 kernel  2.4.7-10smp
Samba 2.2.1.a-4

Relative info:
Share in smb.conf
#MGRS
[Mgrs]
  comment = Mgrs share
  browseable = yes
  writable = yes
  create mask = 777
  path = /PhysBill/Mgrs

If anyone needs more info, just ask.

Cheers,
Tony
