How do I set permissions for a share from windows xp?  I only get the “You don’t have permission to do this” message from xp.  The thing is I have 5 shares that I want everybody in my office (6 users) to be able to read and write to.  What is happening is that when a user creates a file on one system and then moves to a different one or if they use a different logon name the file can only be opened read only.  I have all the users in a group and have the shares setup to allow access to that group.  To remedy this I can set the file permissions in linux to User: Root and Group: Equipo and it works fine until that person makes changes to that file and saves them and then it starts all over again.  I’m running Red Hat 7.2 with Samba 2.2.5

Thanks,

Greg
