I still have not had any luck on this one. It is driving me a bit bonkers. Any other ideas out there???
=================================================================== I know this problem very good, as I had the same. Try install the developer package for "libXaw" Depending on your linux-ditribution it can be found in different packages. RedHat contains it in the package named: XFree86-devel And you can find it under x-window development Cheers Alvaro > It was installed -- no luck -- pat =================================================================== Message: 11 Date: Sun, 20 Oct 2002 09:35:43 +0200 (CEST) From: ?iso-8859-1?q?linux=3D20power?=3D <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [Samba] ./configure failing 2.2.6 install (Newbie question) To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Did you said you have installed a new version og gcc? > I installed the gcc that came from the SuSE distro - pat ============================================================================ ==== This is definately a newbie question so sorry for feeling like an idiot. I am currently running Samba 2.2.5 on a SuSE 8.0 system - very happy, all works great with Xin/XP machines. My problem: I am trying to upgrade to 2.2.6 and when I execute the ./configure script it fails with "command not found". I think the script is executing something that the 2.2.5 script did not and I have not installed it on the SuSE system. When I originally installed the 2.2.5 system I had not installed gcc or make (If you can believe it) so I had to install them from the SuSE distro. I asume I have overlooked another, but the error message does not help me. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
