I created the host, lmhost file entries and all that
EXCEPT FOR tcp wrappers,
I did not create
entries in the /etc/hosts.deny and /etc/hosts.allow files.
The manual says that a single entry "ALL" should be in the
deny file and
allow file sould have: "swat :
127.0.0.1 192.168.0.1"
Which I'm guessing is why swat didn't allow me to
connect to it.... Am I
right! I just couldn't
find any simple explanation on the "tcp wrappers"!!!
I opened the /etc/smb.conf file and found no entries at all in it.... But
I
went to one of the windows PCs and found a
new workgroup (MyGroup). Which my
LAN is
using "Freeballer"
Please help me out, I know kind of stupid
questions but this is my first time
installing/configuration samba and the other online
manuals aren't for newbies (at least
the ones I found, in my opinion)... Hey at least i'm trying huh?! (trying to learn
something besides windows)
