This seems to come from a samba module called odsam that is not part of upstream Samba. The corresponding patch is available from http://www.opensource.apple.com/darwinsource/10.5.6/samba-187.8/patches/auth-module-open-directory but has not been submitted by Apple for upstream Samba. In fact, it carries a Copyright (C) 2003-2007 Apple Inc. All Rights Reserved. which to me seems quite interesting for GPL code :-) Please contact your Apple support for help with this issue. Thanks, Volker
