[Samba] Is Redhat / Samba the only combination that can authenticate to an NT domain??

Title: Is Redhat / Samba the only combination that can authenticate to an NT domain??

I have 2.2.2 on a RedHat box authenticating to an NT server quite nicely but I'd really like to put it on my SUN Solaris servers.  Has Samba come that far yet or are there plans to?
