For me working: Centos5 old Samba3 PDC/BDC with openldap (Master/Master Multi-Master-Replication), ucarp for failover Ip/ Glusterfs Replicating Brick 2 node for samba shares/netlogon...Sa Ba4wins(Sernet), two wins-server push and pull. Running without any trouble.

I would not recommend just rsyncing anything, except the sysvol files. The reason is that rsync will not get a consistent snapshot of the databases. The main HOWTO contains information on joining to an existing domain. That is what you need to do on your second DC.
