I experienced a problem like yours. Really I use EXT4 FS, but I solved using
these settings in /etc/fstab:
/dev/sda3 /usr/local ext4 auto,rw,user_xattr, acl_barrier=1 1 2
/dev/sdc1 /home ext4 auto,rw,user_xattr, acl_barrier=1 1 2
/usr/local is where I installed Samba 4.0.6
/home contains - of course - the users' shares

Is this during provision or after? If its after, you can just modify
your smb.conf under the [sysvol] change the path= line... if its
during, then I will need to do some checking when I get home as I
don't have S4 setup here at work.

Samba state directory
/srv/var/locks
/srv will be a mirrored FS in production servers without no ACL support.
data are on other FS with XFS filesystem and are also mirrored.
