Dear all, I'm struggling to get samba 4.0.7 working as a file server. I'm using mac osx 10.8.4 with Excel for Mac 2011 (14.3.6). I'm able to create a new Spreadsheet and to save it with a new name. I'm also able to read it. When I open it and change a few cells, I cant't save it. I have to save it with a new name. I found these lines in log file: 2013/07/23 15:27:12.407416, 0] ../lib/dbwrap/dbwrap.c:133(debug_lock_order) lock order: 1:/usr/local/samba/var/lock/locking.tdb 2:<none> 3:<none> [2013/07/23 15:27:12.407600, 0] ../source3/lib/util.c:810(smb_panic_s3) PANIC (pid 31203): invalid lock_order
Maybe, it's the root cause… You will find attached conf and log files. Thanks Bruno
