I have this problem too with Samba 3.0. I've tried security = domain and security = server (using an NT PDC) and still get the 'Error looking up domain groups.' error. My 2.2.7a Samba server does provide the groups. Anyone have any ideas about this? Its clearly not an entirely isolated problem!
