Hi,
We have a Linux server with samba (v. 2,2,7) as PDC in a local network,
configured and functioning OK with logins scripts and everything, however,
when having access archives of the M$ Access in directories with more than 8
characters (sample: x:\cpdadm\desenvolvimento) appear the following message
of error on screen:
"Microsoft access
The mechanism of database Microsoft Jet cannot open file '
X:\cpdadm\desen~2!\estatisticas.mdb '. It already is opened in exclusive way
for another user or you he needs permission to have access its data."
However, if rename the directory for "x:\cpdadm\desenvol\estatisticas.mdb"
the problem does not occur. Somebody would know to say me what it is
happening?
